Partners

Jodee Farah completed his BComm Law and LLB through the University of Witwatersrand and has over 25 years' experience in the legal profession.

 

After completing his articles in 1993, Jodee practiced law for several years after which he joined the corporate world as the legal adviser for a public company listed on the JSE and then spent over 15 years as the Managing Executive of Legal Affairs at Vodacom. During his time in the corporate world Jodee acquired a deep understanding of the commercial imperatives in the practice of law, both in respect of dealing with commercial matters as well as litigation.

 

In 2014, Jodee left Vodacom to re-enter private practice and in 2015, Jodee and Elizabeth Parker joined forces to form Farah and Parker Attorneys.

 

Jodee’s expertise lies in High Court litigation (particularly regarding commercial disputes), commercial negotiation, commercial drafting, legal compliance and strategy.  

 

His drive, discipline and unwavering integrity have earned him an outstanding reputation in the industry.

Elizabeth Parker completed her BA Law as well as her degree in Psychology from the University of Cape Town and went on further to study her LLB at UNISA, while simultaneously completing five years of articles.

 

Elizabeth’s career spans over 16 years. In 2010 she took up the position of Litigation Attorney at Munro, Flowers and Vermaak, a prominent law firm, where she ran a practice with over 400 clients. In 2015 she joined forces with Jodee Farah to form Farah and Parker Attorneys

During the course of 2015 to 2018 Elizabeth specialized in assisting medical practitioners with ensuring that their medical practices were compliant with the HPCSA rules and law. She, furthermore, assisted large international pharmaceutical companies with their corporate governance and was outsourced as their compliance officer. 

In 2018, Elizabeth relocated to Durban and continues to grow in the field of litigation, focusing on contractual disputes, the JBCC building disputes and evictions.  

 

Elizabeth's energy and capacity together with high levels of discipline, integrity, professionalism and passion for the law is what sets her apart.

Senior Associate

Keshveena Kandasamy is a senior associate attorney who joined our team in January 2022.

 

She graduated from UNISA with an LLB degree in 2012 and was admitted as an Attorney of the High Court in August 2014.

She has over 9 years of experience in the legal field.

 

Keshveena has experience in many different facets of the law but her expertise lies in commercial litigation.

Keshveena’s discipline and passion for law make her an

important member of our team.

Consultants

Tayyibah Suliman is a legal technology and telecommunications lawyer drawing on her knowledge of technology to revolutionize the future of legal services.

 
She is a former partner at the law firm Cliffe Dekker Hofmeyr and has spent over 10 years consulting to the Vodacom Group and other blue chip clients, including on strategic projects across Africa on technology and telecommunications regulatory and commercial matters.


She also has core expertise in IoT services, data protection and privacy, having conducted various due diligence and compliance projects on behalf of public and private sector clients. 


In the course of 2019, she was seconded to consult in London to a UK-based firm on the implementation of a legal technology solution.

 

She currently supports a complex legal portfolio across 47 African markets for a leading telecommunications provider.

Coenie du Toit completed his BA Law and LLB in 1994 through the University of Stellenbosch and has over 26 years' experience in the legal profession.

 

Coenie spent 18 years as the Managing Executive of Legal Affairs at Vodacom, during which time he was a member of a strategic legal team dedicated to the provision of legal excellence as a service to the multiple business units across the Vodacom Group of Companies.

 

Coenie's expertise in Property, Network Infrastructure and cross-border commercial transactions is unmatched and he always aims for perfection.  His discipline and professionalism are what drives his passion for Law.

Helen Christodoulou holds a BA LLB and was admitted as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa in 1994. Helen’s expertise lies in negotiating, structuring and advising on commercial transactions as well as the drafting of transactional documentation.

In her role as a senior executive and consultant at Vodacom for nearly two decades, Helen gained a deep understanding of commercial ventures, distribution arrangements, procurement, corporate governance and project funding both locally and internationally. 

Helen is highly regarded and respected for her cognisance of business imperatives in executing transactions as well as her professionalism, integrity and discipline.
